Running P&L for 2026-03-11

Day P&L: $+133.43 | Total R: +0.46R

I stepped into the market today with a clear focus on DXST, which had been showing some potential. I entered long at 0.50 after seeing a quick bounce off a support level. Unfortunately, that trade turned out to be a mistake, exiting at 0.4834 for a loss of $34.80. It was a scalp trade, but I misjudged the momentum. The stock didn’t hold up as I had anticipated, and I should have cut my losses quicker when I saw the tape wasn’t confirming the bounce.

After that initial misstep, I got back in on DXST at 0.5009, and this time it worked out. I exited at 0.5125 for a profit of $143.47. The tape showed buyers stepping in, and I was able to ride that momentum. I followed up with a few more successful scalps on DXST, hitting exits at 0.5270 and 0.5455, bringing in another $54.14 and $63.72, respectively. The stock was making higher lows, which gave me confidence to stay in. Each time I saw the volume pick up, I knew I was in the right place.

Then I shifted my attention to ASNS, which had a smaller float and was moving aggressively. I took a long at 0.53 but got shaken out quickly, exiting at 0.5251 for a loss of $28.51. I misread the action; the stock was showing weakness, and I should have been more patient. However, I didn’t dwell on it and re-entered at 0.5382, where I caught a nice move up to 0.5460 for $125.99. The volume was robust here, and I could see the tape was shifting, confirming my read.

I kept trading ASNS throughout the morning, hitting a few more winners, including a nice move at 0.5662 up to 0.5737 for $100.49. But then I made some poor decisions, chasing entries and not respecting the pullbacks, leading to a few losses. I ended up taking a hit on a couple of trades where I pushed my luck, particularly a loss of $115.54 when I entered at 0.6014 and exited at 0.5994. The tape was showing signs of exhaustion, and I ignored it.

As the day progressed, I found myself rotating through a mix of stocks. ACXP was on my radar but turned out to be a trap for me. I entered at 4.27 but quickly exited for a small gain before taking a much larger loss at 4.99. The volatility in that name was high, and I wasn’t able to catch a solid read on the price action. My focus was scattered, and I ended up overtrading.

SXTP and TLYS provided some relief later in the day, with SXTP showing significant movement. I took a long at 3.0843 and exited at 3.1110 for a solid gain of $77.63. The volume was strong, and I could see the buyers stepping in, which gave me the confidence to hold. TLYS also worked well, especially a nice breakout from 2.8988 to 2.9513, yielding $134.87.

Reflecting on my performance, I did well with my execution on the scalps where I followed the tape closely. I was quick to adapt when the market shifted, especially with DXST and ASNS. But I struggled with patience, particularly on ASNS and ACXP, where I let losses compound instead of cutting them early. Overtrading was a significant issue, especially in the middle of the day when I was chasing rather than waiting for high-probability setups.

What I did well: I executed scalps effectively on DXST and ASNS when the momentum was there. My entries were timely on those trades, and I capitalized on the moves well.
What I did poorly: I overtraded, particularly on ACXP and ASNS, where I let emotions dictate my entries. I ignored the tape at times and didn’t cut losses quickly enough.

Trading grade: B+. My entries were mostly clean, and I had some solid wins, but I let a few trades get away from me with poor decision-making.

Tomorrow, I need to focus on patience and sticking to the plan. Chasing trades will only lead to frustration. I’ll look for setups that align with the tape, and I’ll commit to cutting losses quickly. Time to reset and refine.
