Running P&L for 2026-03-10

Day P&L: $+409.03 | Total R: +1.44R

The first trade of the day was a long on SGN that quickly turned sour. I entered at 0.8224, but it didn’t take long for the tape to show weakness. I exited at 0.8046 for a loss of about 135 bucks. I saw potential for a bounce, but the stock didn’t hold the level and I should have been quicker to cut my losses. It was a lesson in reading the tape; the selling pressure was clear as it ticked down through 0.81.

After that, I tried to catch another bounce on SGN, but again, I was too early, and it slipped further. I took a small loss on that one too. The morning was marked by a lot of choppy action, especially in tech names. SGN's float is relatively low at 13.66M, which can lead to volatility, but it felt like the selling was persistent, and I didn’t respect that enough.

Moving on to ATPC, I saw some promise when the stock initially spiked. I got in at 4.20, but it didn’t take long before the momentum faded, leading to another loss. I did manage to catch a solid move shortly after at 4.31, riding it up to 4.63 for a nice win of 661 bucks. This trade had strong buying volume and the tape was showing clear signs of strength, which I capitalized on. The float was tiny at 0.97M, so that added to the volatility.

However, I continued to overtrade ATPC after that. I chased a few entries, and it cost me. I got caught in a downward spiral, entering at 4.85 only to watch it drop back down. I was too eager to get back in after that initial win, ignoring the fact that the tape was flipping back to bearish.

LGVN was next on my radar, and I had mixed success. I caught a couple of nice moves, particularly a long at 0.88 that I sold for a small gain. The stock had a significant rvol of 505.77, which usually indicates strong momentum. However, I also took a couple of losses here, including a trade where I went long at 0.8676 and got squeezed out. The volatility was high, but I didn’t manage my risk well enough.

The afternoon saw me gravitating toward DXST. This stock had a float of 30.45M and was showing signs of life. I caught a nice bounce off a low at 0.3918 and managed to ride it up to 0.4142 for a solid gain. The tape was cleaner here, and I felt more in control. However, I still took several small losses on other entries, which added up and chipped away at my profits.

Sector-wise, healthcare stocks were the most active throughout the day, especially ATPC and PLYX. The low-float names in this sector showed significant movement, but the action was erratic. I also noticed some interesting plays in the industrials, with DXST making a few solid moves. The rotation into these names was evident, but I struggled to catch the momentum consistently.

Reflecting on what I did well, I showed some good patience during the more volatile moments, especially with DXST, where I waited for clearer setups before entering. I also managed to scale out of some positions effectively when I had the opportunity. On the flip side, my biggest mistake was overtrading. I was chasing a few trades that didn't meet my usual criteria, and I let my ego get in the way after early losses.

Trading grade: B+. My entries were mostly on point when I focused on the right setups, but I let a few revenge trades lead to unnecessary losses. Tomorrow, I’ll aim to stick to my plan and not force trades when the tape isn’t cooperating.
