Running P&L for 2026-01-13

Day P&L: $-1686.72 | Total R: -3.98R

The day kicked off with AHMA, and I was looking for a washout long as it dropped sharply right out of the gate. I entered at 13.77, but it didn’t hold the level and I got out at 13.60, taking a loss of $170.08. I didn’t wait long enough to see if it would stabilize. The tape was weak; it just kept pushing lower, and I should have recognized that it was likely to continue to fade.

I tried to recover some losses with another washout long on AHMA, entering at 13.81. The stock looked like it might bounce, but instead, it dropped like a rock to 13.11. This was a tough hit, costing me $1,496.03. The volume was there, but the buying pressure was nonexistent. It was clear I was forcing trades when I should have been more patient.

Next up was DCOY, which I thought might give me a quick scalp. I entered at 1.40, but it didn’t have the momentum I anticipated and I got out at 1.39, taking a small loss of $30.60. The market wasn't really supporting it, and I should have read the tape more closely. The float was low, but it felt heavy.

Then I turned to XAIR, starting with a sub VWAP trap setup at 1.67. I entered, but the stock just didn’t hold. I exited at 1.50, losing $655.63. I was a bit stubborn here, hoping for it to reclaim VWAP, but the selling pressure was relentless. I made a couple of smaller trades on XAIR after that, trying to catch a bounce, but it continued to chop around without any real conviction, resulting in more small losses.

I finally found a bit of momentum with XAIR when I entered at 2.15 and got out at 2.20, making a modest profit of $115.36. It felt like a relief to finally catch a win. But overall, the early part of the day had me chasing trades without proper setups, and I was paying for it.

The midday session saw me shifting focus to EVTV, which had some decent volume. I caught a washout long here, entering at 3.79 and exiting at 3.85 for a gain of $107.14. This was a solid trade; I finally felt like I was aligning with the right momentum. I had a couple of other trades on EVTV that went well, including a nice bull flag setup where I made $216.19 after entering at 4.68. The tape was finally cooperating, and I was starting to feel more in tune with the action.

However, I did have some missteps with EVTV, too. There were moments when I should have cut losses sooner. For instance, I took a loss on another long at 4.48, where I exited at 4.42 for a $243.44 loss. I got caught up in the moment, thinking it would bounce back, but the tape showed clear selling pressure.

By late day, I was still trying to catch a few more trades on EVTV and ATON. I took a loss on ATON that stung, but I managed to close out with a small win on MLEC, where I made $37.29 on a parabolic squeeze. It felt good to end on a positive note, but the day overall was frustrating.

What I did well today was my execution on the trades that worked. I was able to catch some solid moves with EVTV, and my timing improved as the day went on. I also recognized when to take profits, even if they were small.

What I did poorly was overtrading early in the day. I chased too many setups without clear conviction, and I let my emotions drive some decisions, particularly with AHMA and XAIR. I should have been more disciplined and waited for higher-probability setups instead of forcing trades.

Trading grade: C. While I had some decent entries later in the day, the early losses were too significant and stemmed from poor decision-making and impatience.

Moving forward, I need to remind myself about the importance of patience and not rushing into trades. Tomorrow is a new day; I’ll focus on sticking to my setups and reading the tape more carefully.
