A qualitative run-through of every trade from 2026-04-02: setups, thought process, and outcomes.

Running P&L for 2026-04-02

Today was marked by some choppy action, which made it tough to find clean setups. I stayed selective and focused on trades that met my criteria, leading to a solid day overall. GV was my top grossing name today.

SKYQ LONG — entry 5.87 best exit 6.49 1.43R (08:56:32–09:00:20) | Setup: Trade

I entered SKYQ at 5.87, anticipating a quick move. After entry, it initially pushed up, and I sold into strength at 6.49. The action was choppy, but I was able to capitalize on the momentum before it started to fade.

GV LONG — entry 0.4494 best exit 0.4964 0.86R (10:30:36–10:33:36) | Setup: Trade

For my next trade, I went long GV at 0.4494. The stock had already made a move and consolidated sideways into the 1m9, which set up the next leg up. I added some during the consolidation, and sold those adds for small gains. I sold the remainder at 0.4964 as it pushed higher, not expecting it to continue the strength that it showed after I was out.

What I did well:
I executed well on GV, taking advantage of the consolidation before the next leg up. My exit was timed nicely to capture the push.

What I did poorly:

Trading grade: B+ — I navigated the choppy conditions well, but could have avoided some of the smaller trades that didn’t provide enough traction.

Closing thoughts:
The session was choppy overall, but I managed to stay selective with my entries. I’ll look to carry this discipline into the next session, focusing on setups that show clear momentum.
