Running P&L for 2025-12-26

Day P&L: $-1133.92 | Total R: -2.52R

The morning kicked off with PCLA, which had a solid gap of 42%. I spotted it early, looking for a sub VWAP trap. My first entry at 0.357 was timed well, and I managed a quick $12 win. But then I got a bit too eager. I entered again at 0.427, and the stock faded quickly against me — a classic case of not respecting the tape. It was a reminder that just because there’s potential doesn't mean the setup is strong; the sellers were still in control.

Things picked up when I hit my stride with PCLA again, catching a bounce off that sub VWAP trap and exiting at 0.439 for a $270 win. The stock showed some resilience, pushing back up through resistance levels. I was feeling good about my timing and entries, but then I fell into a familiar trap of overtrading. A few quick losses followed — one at 0.436 where I took a small hit, then another at 0.422 where I lost more than I should have. The tape was choppy, and I should’ve recognized that instead of forcing trades.

FJET was a different story. I tried to catch a bounce after a slight pullback, but the stock just didn’t have the momentum. My entries at 17.829 and 17.799 ended up being poor choices, with losses of $84 and $70. The tape showed clear selling pressure, and I ignored it. I should’ve let it settle before jumping in.

Moving into the midday, ASPC caught my attention. It had a massive gap of 65.1%, but it was volatile and erratic. I tried a washout long at 32.75, and it popped quickly for a small win, but then I chased a bull flag at 43.5499 and got caught in a downturn, losing over $100. The volatility was high, and I didn’t manage my risk well. I was too focused on catching a breakout instead of reading the price action properly.

Back to PCLA, I had a couple of solid wins with the washout long setup, including one at 0.4409 where I grabbed $128. But then I gave back too much on a few trades, including a significant loss at 0.479 where I lost $258. I was trying to catch the next move up, but the price action was telling a different story. The stock was losing steam, and I should’ve recognized that earlier.

The afternoon was a mixed bag. I had a couple of small wins with PCLA scalps but also took losses that chipped away at my gains. The tape was still choppy, and I was caught in a cycle of trying to force trades instead of waiting for clearer setups. I also made a few plays on SOPA, which had low float dynamics but ended up with mixed results. I had a nice win at 2.122 but followed it with losses that erased those gains.

Reflecting on the day, I see that while I had some strong moments, my overall execution was off. I was too eager to trade and didn’t respect the tape when it was showing weakness. My win rate was lower than I’d like, and my average losses were creeping up.

What I did well: I managed to catch some solid moves when I was patient, particularly with PCLA. I had a few good reads on the sub VWAP trap setup that worked out well.

What I did poorly: I overtraded, especially in choppy markets. I ignored the tape too often, which led to unnecessary losses. I also chased setups instead of waiting for confirmation.

Trading grade: B- — I had some good entries, but my overall execution faltered due to overtrading and a failure to adapt to market conditions.

Takeaway for tomorrow: Focus on quality over quantity. Stick to setups with clear tape confirmation and avoid forcing trades in volatile environments.
