A qualitative run-through of every trade from 2026-03-26: setups, thought process, and outcomes.
Schedule note (through 4/1): I'm writing from Japan. The US market opens around 10:30pm local, so I mostly trade premarket and roughly the first hour of the regular session before wrapping up — I generally miss whatever develops later in the day.
A strong open on EEIQ grabbed my attention early. The action was lively, with heavy volume and a notable gap up. I jumped in at 10.77, looking for a quick move. The stock quickly pushed higher, and I sold into strength at 11.85, locking in a solid gain. The momentum was there, and it was nice to see it follow through.
Shortly after, I saw another opportunity on EEIQ. I entered at 8.89, anticipating a bounce. However, the stock didn’t cooperate. It struggled to hold up, and I had to manage my risk. I got some shares out at 7.43 but sold the majority for a loss at 7.82. Once I was out, it reversed into a halt down, and I was left watching it drop further.
The day had a lot of action, but I found myself passing on several setups. The market was selective, and while there were opportunities, I was cautious about where I put my capital. The back-and-forth action made it hard to gain traction on some trades, and that led to a more conservative approach.
In the end, I executed 28 trades, splitting evenly between winners and losers. While I had a solid win on EEIQ, the larger loss on the same name took a toll on my overall performance. The volatility in the names I traded was apparent, but I needed to be sharper with my reads.
What I did well:
I identified the strong move on EEIQ early and executed well on that trade, locking in profits effectively.
Trading grade: B+ — Good entries but managing risk could improve, especially with the larger loss on EEIQ.
Closing thoughts:
Today was a mixed bag. I capitalized on some strong moves but also faced challenges managing risk on the same ticker. I’ll take these experiences into the next session and look for more consistent setups.
