A qualitative run-through of every trade from 2026-01-29: setups, thought process, and outcomes.

Running P&L for 2026-01-29

The day started with FEED making a strong move right out of the gate. I took my first entry at 3.32, targeting the gap and go setup. The tape showed solid buying interest, with bids holding up and a clean move through the opening range. My best exit was at 3.45, with an average exit of 3.43, netting me $422. The stock continued to show strength, pushing higher after my exit, but I was satisfied with the gains.

Shortly after, I re-entered FEED at 3.87, this time recognizing it as a sub VWAP trap. The stock had pulled back, and I saw an opportunity as it reclaimed VWAP. At entry, the 1m9 was around 3.89, indicating a solid chance for a bounce. I exited at 4.00, with my best exit at 4.15, bringing in another $507. The tape remained strong, and FEED continued to push upwards, showing resilience.

I wasn't done with FEED just yet. My next entry came at 4.27, again a sub VWAP trap setup. The stock was still in play, and I was looking for that follow-through. I got a nice run, exiting at 4.46 for a P&L of $652. The stock was clearly in demand, with buyers showing strength throughout this phase, and it made sense to keep riding this trend as long as the tape held up.

After a few solid trades in FEED, I pivoted to SLV. I entered at 96.93, executing a quick scalp trade. The move was sharp, and I managed to exit at 98.25, netting $396. The tape on SLV was choppy but had pockets of strength, allowing for the quick in and out that I was looking for.

Finally, I turned my focus to TCGL, where I saw a sub VWAP trap opportunity. I entered at 14.95, and while this entry was extended above key levels, I was confident in the setup. The stock eventually rallied, and I exited at 18.41, pulling in a solid $1,732. This trade had the feel of a parabolic move, with strong momentum driving it higher, and I was pleased to capture a significant part of that run.

Overall, the health and biotech sectors were particularly active today, with FEED and ANL leading the charge. I noticed volume rotation, especially in names like TCGL, which had a high relative volume and showed strong price action. The financial services sector was also in play with SLV, though it had a more mixed performance.

What I did well: I effectively identified and capitalized on strong setups in FEED and TCGL.
What I did poorly: I could have managed my exits better on the later trades to maximize gains.

Trading grade: A- — Solid execution on entries and exits, particularly with the FEED trades; just needed a bit more precision on the last couple.

Looking forward to tomorrow's opportunities.
