Running P&L for 2026-01-29

Day P&L: $+4390.93 | Total R: +12.27R

FEED caught my eye early, and I jumped on the gap and go setup right at the open. I entered at 3.32 and saw a nice push to 3.43 within minutes, netting a solid $422.06. The tape was strong, and the stock was showing good relative strength, which helped me stay in the trade a bit longer than usual. The momentum was there, and I felt confident riding it.

I continued with FEED, taking a couple more quick trades as it tried to hold above VWAP. The next entries, while still in the gap and go mindset, were less fruitful. I grabbed a few more shares at 3.48 but only made a measly $21.99, and then I quickly flipped it for a small profit at 4.01, netting just $61. The stock was starting to show signs of exhaustion, chopping around instead of trending. It’s a reminder that even when the setup looks good, the tape can tell a different story.

Then came my first real misstep with FEED. I tried to play the sub VWAP trap, looking for a bounce after it faded below VWAP. I got in at 3.87 but quickly found myself on the wrong side of the trade. I took a series of small losses, totaling about $100, as I tried to catch the bottom. FEED was just not cooperating, and I should've recognized that the selling pressure was too strong.

After those misfires, I finally hit a nice win again with FEED, entering at 4.30 and exiting at 4.46 for a sweet $651.99. The tape finally turned in my favor, and I was able to ride that momentum without getting too greedy. It was a classic case of waiting for the right moment to strike, and it paid off.

Switching gears, I turned to SLV and executed a scalp trade. I entered at 96.93 and saw a quick pop to 98.25, netting $395.76. The volume was higher than usual, and the tape was clean. I quickly flipped it for a profit. However, I miscalculated my next move and shorted SLV right after for a tiny gain. It was a classic case of overtrading, trying to squeeze out more from what was already a good trade.

The real highlight of the day came from TCGL. I caught a strong move after a sub VWAP trap and entered at 14.95, riding it all the way to 18.41 for a massive $1,732.15. The volume was explosive, and the stock was clearly in play. It was a great reminder of how powerful the combination of a low float and high relative volume can be. However, I tried to push my luck with a few more trades later in the day and ended up giving back some gains.

I also had a few washout longs with TCGL in the late afternoon but they didn’t pan out as I hoped. I entered at 432.77 and quickly lost $78.90 when the stock didn’t hold. It’s frustrating when you see the potential but the tape just doesn’t confirm it.

What I did well: I executed my gap and go trades effectively, especially with FEED early on. The timing on my entries was mostly solid, and I was able to capitalize on a few strong setups.

What I did poorly: I overtraded on FEED and TCGL, chasing moves that didn’t have the same momentum. I also ignored the tape during some trades, especially when I should’ve cut losses sooner.

Trading grade: B+. I had some great entries and solid winners, but I gave back too much on chasing trades and failed setups. Tomorrow, I need to focus on being more disciplined and sticking to my setups without forcing trades.

One takeaway for tomorrow: Pay close attention to the tape and market structure—don’t let the desire for more leads to unnecessary losses.
