Running P&L for 2025-12-18

Day P&L: $-1704.84 | Total R: -3.04R

I had a rough start with ATHA. I attempted to catch a bull flag early, but the entries were choppy, and I didn't get the follow-through I was looking for. I entered at 7.24, but it quickly faded below my exit at 7.1956. I took a couple more shots at it, but the tape was telling me something different. It was clear that the momentum wasn’t there, and I ended up with a few small losses, which started the day off on a frustrating note.

When LHAI popped up, I was quick to jump in. I caught a nice move from 13.84 to 14, netting a small win. It felt good to finally get some green after struggling with ATHA. The tape showed solid buying interest, and I could see that the stock was holding above VWAP, which gave me the confidence to take that trade.

However, as I shifted back to ATHA, the market didn’t treat me kindly. I tried to play the sub VWAP trap, but it just didn’t hold. I took multiple entries around the 7.75 area, thinking it would reclaim, but it was a trap indeed. Each time I tried to catch a bounce, I was met with selling pressure. The stock just kept fading, and I ended up giving back the gains from LHAI and then some. It was a clear lesson in not forcing a trade when the tape isn’t cooperating.

Mid-morning, I shifted gears to PAVS. It had a solid gap and was showing some relative strength. I managed to catch a nice move from 3.52 to 3.57, and that felt like a small win. The volume was decent, and it held above VWAP nicely. But I got too eager to chase FJET when it started to reclaim after a dip. I jumped in at 9.54, hoping for a quick bounce, but it didn’t materialize. I ended up taking a significant loss on that one when it dropped below my entry.

The tape was turbulent with FJET. After my initial loss, I saw some buying pressure and tried to play the washout long, but each attempt was met with sharp reversals. I had a fleeting win, but most of my trades in FJET were losses. I felt like I was fighting the flow of the market, which was frustrating.

The late day saw some volatility as I tried to chase moves in AFJK and FJET again. I made a decent recovery with a washout long in FJET, exiting at 8.50 after entering at 7.94, but then I overextended with AFJK, thinking I could recapture the earlier momentum. I entered at 71.12, but it quickly reversed, and I took a hit. The market was choppy, and I was trying to find my footing amid the noise.

Looking back, I see a lot of missed opportunities and some unnecessary losses. My execution was off, and I let my frustration lead to revenge trading. I had a few moments where I read the tape correctly, but I also forced trades when I should have stepped back.

What I did well: I was patient with LHAI and PAVS, waiting for the right setups and not rushing my entries. I also managed to cut losses quickly on some trades, which helped limit the damage.

What I did poorly: I overtraded, especially with ATHA and FJET, chasing moves that weren’t there. I ignored the tape on several occasions and let my emotions dictate my trades.

Trading grade: C+. My entries were often forced, and while I had a couple of good reads, the overall win rate and average loss were not where they needed to be. I need to focus on quality over quantity moving forward.

Tomorrow is a new day, and I’ll be looking to tighten my trade plan. Focusing on setups that align with the tape will be key.
